  I went to the Symposium last night for the first time and it definitely wasn't a comfortable experience. The staff wasn't bluntly rude but having multiple staff members starting at your table watching in amusement, and having multiple staff members continue to interrupt our dinner within less than 5 minutes of each other the dinner experience was uncomfortable and rushed. My friend had been trying to tell us a simple story that shouldn't have taken long but he was interrupted at least four times. The meals also came out cold, the two pasta plates even had undercooked hard pasta. We wanted to eat at this establishment to have a nice dinner before the movie with about an hour or so to have dinner but was out of the restaurant in about 20 minutes.
  I personally wouldn't visit or recommend this location to any of my friends. I feel like I paid to have a group of people to watch me eat opposed to having a enjoyable dinner with my friends.
  I also wanted to order a few other item's from the menu but I didn't feel comfortable. The staff was practically pushing us out the door. None of us actually even finished our meals or drinks.

  I have been going to Symposium since they opened. I have frequently talked about the food and service and how impressed I've been by it. I have brought at least 20 different people to this restraunt to advocate for it.
  I did this last night with my friends, for dinner before our movie and I was appalled at the experience.
  As someone with extremely high social anxiety, I felt comfortable going in to eat. Last night, my friends and I were not given any time to look at the menu. Our food was brought out within 10 mins, undercooked. We were inturrupted so much that we were unable to get through a single conversation over our dinner. On top of all of this, the entire wait staff stood behind the counter and stared at our table while we ate. I felt like we were being forced out of the restraunt. When i brought it up to the manager, the entire staff stood sneering while she told me that "that's not what happened." when there was clearly a waiter standing ON HIS TOES to gape over the counter at my friends and I.
  My friends and I could've gotten better, cheaper, and friendlier service closer to the theater anywhere in town. I am sad that I cannot go back to my favourite restraunt in town but I will not be treated like a piece of trash. I have as much right to eat in this restraunt as someone who fits into society's status quo.
  This was blatant discrimination. I cannot rightly go back to this restraunt with the way we were treated last night.

  I have been there several times and never I mean never had a bad meal poor service or a bad time. The staff are very helpful polite and friendly. If you find it is not so maybe you should look els wear for the problem. I have taken family and friends. If the service seems slow it is because it is not McDonald's. The food has to be prepared.

  Went for lunch (3 people) and we all thought the food was great. We also liked the variety of foods offered on the menu. The prices are reasonable and the service A-1. We plan on coming again. Thanks Symposium.

  We ordered sandwhiches one was a little cool but still tasted good, service was slow. We were asked five times how we liked our food, a few too many times to be honest. Everything was ok until the bill came and we had been over charged by $14 and when we questioned it the manager argued with us despite the waitress agreeing that we were right. They finally deducted the funds with the exception of 22 cents, which was weird. Then when we wanted to leave the feedback card staff pretended the didn't know where the box was. I regularly eat at the Ajax location and have never had a problem but the Lindsay location i would not recommended.
